Mozhi keymap for Linux is already available.

This work is inspired by the varamozhi/mozhi IM applications.
My attempt is to use the same kind of keymapping in SCIM , so that users can avoid copy paste. Almost all applications in KDE and GNOME supports scim. In kde users can use SKIM also.
If we add this to scim, users can use this keymapping without installing other applications like varamozhi or mozhi/ilamozhi.
Still there is one way of using Mozhi with SCIM with the help of KMFL(http://kmfl.sourceforge.net)
It is another Input method which uses SCIM's platform. If we want to use that we need to install the following packages first.
libkmfl - KMFL library
scim_kmfl_imengine - KMFL SCIM input method engine
kmflcomp - KMFL keyboard compiler
Then we need to install the mozhi keymap compiled for kmfl.
KMFL is the IM for GNU/Linux based on Tavultesoft Keyman (http://www.tavultesoft.com). Many users use that in Windows to type malayalam.
My attempt is to simplify all these things and make this mapping part of scim itself.

Regarding the key mapping, I am using 90% Mozhi mapping.
The differences are in ഋ , ചില്ലക്ഷരങ്ങള്‍, അം. I am not using symbols like ^ and _ here. For chillus and അം I am using ~.
For ഋ i am using RR , കൃഷ്ണന്‍ = kRshNan~
in mozhi it is കൃഷ്ണന്‍ kr^shNan~

Any way I am open to suggestions on this.
This mapping will be released for testing soon..

പിന്നെ ഒരു കാര്യം. മൊഴി കീമാപ്പുമായി 100% സാദൃശ്യം എന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യമല്ല. മൊഴി പൂര്‍‌ണ്ണ്മായും ഒരു ഫൊനെറ്റിക് ഐ എം അല്ല.see http://varamozhi.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Contents/Mozhi. മൊഴിയുടെ കുറെ നല്ല വശങ്ങള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കും എന്നു മാത്രം . മറ്റു ചില മംഗ്ലിഷ് കീബോര്‍‌ഡ് വിന്യാസങ്ങളും പരിഗണനയിലുണ്ട്. സിബുവുമായും(വരമൊഴി) രാജുമായും(പെരിങ്ങോടന്‍) ഞാന്‍ ഇതിനെപ്പറ്റി ചര്‍‌ച്ച് ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്‍. മൊഴിയിലെ റ്റ്=ta എന്ന മാപ്പിങ്ങുമായി എനിക്ക് യോജിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നില്ല. ഇതിനെ പറ്റിയുള്ള ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ smc-discuss@googlegroups ഇല്‍‌ നടക്കും.ഉപയോക്താക്കള്‍ക്ക് ഏറ്റവും എളുപ്പത്തില്‍ മംഗ്ലിഷ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് മലയാളം എഴുതാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന ഒരു ഐ എം ആണ്‍ എന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യം. അത് വരമൊഴിയുടെ SCIM പോര്‍ട്ടിങ്ങ് ആകണമെന്നില്ല.
